Welcome to the Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology programme at Chrisland University. This innovative programme bridges the gap between biology and technology, preparing students to become leaders in the rapidly evolving biotechnology industry. Our curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on laboratory skills, fostering expertise in the manipulation of living organisms to develop new products and solutions that benefit humanity.
The bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology is a 4-yr program that will equip graduates with the necessary skills for their future endeavours be it immediate employment, entrepreneurship or postgraduate studies and also compete with international peers. With state-of-the-art facilities and sound faculty, our courses are practical-oriented and students get hands-on-experience of most of what they are being taught. B.Sc. in Biotechnology will play an essential role in creating and developing methods of production for biomolecules such as vaccines, antibiotics, enzymes, biopolymers, biofuels, and many others to become successful biotech professionals, researchers, industrialists and entrepreneurs. Graduates of the B.Sc. Biotechnology programme are prepared for diverse roles in:
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME):
a. UTME subjects; English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
b. Five credit passes at not more than TWO sittings which must include; English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science, at Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), or NECO or its equivalent.
Direct Entry:
Candidates shall possess in -addition to the minimum requirements in 1 (b) above:
a. Two 'A' Level subjects in any of the following Biology, Physics or Chemistry with minimum of 5 points.
b. At least a Credit Pass in National Diploma in any Biology-related course, Science Laboratory Technology from a recognised Polytechnic or its equivalent; and
c. NCE with at least credit pass both in Biology and Chemistry
