The Business Administration Department of Chrisland University, Abeokuta commenced in 2015. The Department being fully aware of roles of Managers and Administrators in the society is poised towards turning out well rounded high caliber graduates capable of taking up any responsibility in the industries around the globe.
The students mix frequently with practitioners in the field of economics through facility visits, course (lectures/seminars) and jointly organized conferences. Issues of professional and moral excellence that are known to be hallmarks of the university are treated seriously with the programme. The programme will offer courses leading to the award of Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and also set students on the path of professional certification such as CIPM, CIA and IPMA.
The courses described, have been carefully developed to meet National Universities Commission (NUC) benchmark minimum academic standard for the degree as well as prepare students to meet the challenges of professionalism. Hence, emphasis has been placed on proficiency in Management Sciences for all students with the hope that upon graduation, they will be able to initiate ideas, sell ideas and source for funds to turn the ideas into reality. It is our intention to build well grounded, bold and ever confident graduates that will be able to make positive contributions to their immediate community and society at large.
The uniqueness in the ideals and structure of Chrisland University ensures that it graduates students with high moral standard, values and professional skills to make them the best in the country.
Also, Chrisland University’s students are being exposed to real life situations in their disciplines and make them professionals, ready to practice and be self-reliant immediately after graduation.
Lastly, The University’s general studies and other courses are expected to further equip the students for challenges during and after their degree programme. The students are equipped with the B.Sc. Business Administration degree, other professional degrees as well as a certification for Entrepreneurial Skill Acquisition at graduation.

Philosophy:
The course offered by the department are designed to provide the students with the variety of skills necessary to succeed within the government, industry and the global environment at large. The programme was designed to give the students broad background of knowledge of the free enterprise system within the framework of moral and ethical guidelines. The curriculum designed would assist the student to develop a sound business and marketing philosophy toward our current economic future. It would also provide the student with a quality academic program with basic business skills required for initial job placement, entrance into postgraduate degree programs in Business Administration and other related disciplines.
Objectives:
a) Provide basic knowledge needed for an understanding and analysis of problems related to the management or administration of industrial, commercial, public and other human organisations.
b) Equip students with the skills needed for recognising and defining problems and taking appropriate decisions, using scientific techniques and tools
c) Inculcate in students an awareness of, and sensitivity to, environmental factors and conditions and their impact on managerial/administrative practice and decisions
d) Develop leadership and interpersonal relations/skills which are needed for working in organisations.
e) Facilitate the creation of entrepreneurial spirit in young men and women who can help to exploit the available resource and opportunities in Nigeria.
f) Provide for preparation of Management teachers and researchers to keep pace with the ever rising demand for management education.
g) Facilitate the education and training of managers at undergraduate level.
h) Help produce teaching materials and literature more appropriate to the Nigeria environment through research and cross fertilization of ideas in the classroom.
