At Chrisland University, the Office of the Registrar is central to the smooth functioning of all administrative activities. As established by institutional framework, the Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University, directly accountable to the Vice-Chancellor. The Registrar ensures that daily administrative processes run efficiently, with specific exceptions for financial matters, which fall under the jurisdiction of the Bursar.
The Registrar’s Office is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all the administrative and operational facets of the University, providing essential support for both staff and students across various departments.
Key functions of the Registrar’s Office include:
- Human Resources: Through the Human Resources Unit, the Registrar manages staff recruitment, training, development, and disciplinary matters, ensuring the well-being and professional growth of university personnel.
- Academic Records and Student Services: The Academic Affairs Unit ensures the integrity, accuracy, and security of academic records, supporting current and former students. It also oversees admission matters, student registration and enrollment, and develops policies on the responsible use of student data.
- Course and Exam Administration: The Registrar's Office, through the Academic Affairs Unit, maintains up-to-date academic schedules, course catalogs, and examination timetables, ensuring the smooth progression of the academic calendar.
- University Governance: The Council Affairs plays a vital role in supporting the operations of the University Governing Council, facilitating communication and decision-making processes at the highest level of governance.
- Planning and Data Management: The Planning, Budgeting, and Monitoring Desk, in collaboration with the Management Information Systems Unit, builds a robust data bank that aids effective planning and budgeting across the University.
- Public Relations and Events: The Corporate Affairs Unit is responsible for handling the University’s publicity efforts, organizing convocation ceremonies, managing protocol and hospitality, and addressing immigration-related matters, ensuring that Chrisland University’s public image remains strong.

The University Security Unit is an arm of the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, and it is supervised by the Chairman, Council Committee on Security. It consists of proficiently physically, mentally and intellectually fit men and women who are saddled with the responsibility of providing an enabling environment for the day – to day running of the university.
It implements and enforces the university’s rules and regulations, arrests any act militating against the relative peace on campus, investigates and prosecutes alongside the Legal unit offenders and offences against the university.
Security Policies
The University Security Policy statements guide in ensuring safety of all employees, clients (Parents and Students), visitors, contractors etc at all times within the premises and its immediate environment. It puts in place standard and adequate security structure, procedure and equipment to safeguard university assets, infrastructure as well as those of our clients and visitors. The Policy also ensures prompt and efficient collection, collation and dissemination of security information between the university and its stakeholders such as Staff, Students, Contractors, Visitors and other friends of the university. During emergencies, there are Muster Points at designated areas within the campus premises, where both staff and students assembled for head count. The university has Zero tolerance for drug use and abuse, thereby fostering a cordial relationship with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to combat the menace of drug abuse on campus. The university also maintains a cordial working relationship with other government Security agencies such as, Police, Department of State Services (DSS), Fire Service, etc while operating within the limit of Ogun State government and Federal government of Nigeria.
Security Infrastructure
This can be described as security measures designed to deny unauthorized access to facilities, equipments and resources to protect personnel and property from harm or damage, theft or any form of attack such as espionage or terrorist attack. It involves the use of multiple layers of interdependent systems, such as but not limited to the following: Security guards, Protective barriers, Locks, Close Circuit Television (CCTV) surveillance, Patrol dogs, Access control protocols and Vehicle height-restrictor (barrier).

Head, Works and Services Unit

The Works and Services Unit plays a pivotal role in the overall management of the University’s physical infrastructure. Our key responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and upkeep of campus facilities to ensure a conducive environment for academic and administrative activities. We are also responsible for the planning, supervision, and implementation of all construction projects, renovations, and maintenance of physical assets within the university premises.
In addition, the unit ensures the timely provision of utilities such as water, electricity, and waste management, thereby supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the university community.

Maintenance Activities
- Male Hostel: Regular upkeep and repairs to ensure the facility remains in good condition.
- Female Hostel: Maintenance works to improve living conditions and address existing issues.
- Annex (VLBC) Campus: Infrastructure maintenance, including electrical, and plumbing repairs.
- Staff Quarters: Continuous maintenance work to enhance the comfort and functionality of residential spaces for staff.
- Offices: Maintenance of administrative and academic offices to ensure a productive working environment.
Planned Projects:
1. Hostel Construction:
- Female Hostel: A new 792-bed space facility is in the planning phase and is expected to begin soon. It is targeted for completion before the 2025/2026 academic session.
- Male Hostel: Plans for a 600-bed space facility are also underway, with the same timeline as the female hostel project.
2. Academic and Administrative Buildings:
- Construction of multi-purpose academic buildings to meet the growing needs of staff and students.
3. Sports Facilities:
- Development of a 5-aside football field to encourage sporting activities and physical fitness.
- Construction of an Olympic-standard basketball court to promote sports and extracurricular activities.
Future Projects (In-view):
- University Medical Center: A modern medical facility is planned to serve the health needs of the university community, equipped with the latest technology and healthcare services.
- Ultra-modern Library Complex: A new library complex is being envisioned to enhance research capabilities and provide an academic hub for students and staff.
- College of Pharmacy Building: Plans are in place for the construction of a dedicated building for the College of Pharmacy, supporting specialized academic programs.

Units Under Academic Affairs
The Office of Academic Affairs is dedicated to the effective management of academic programs at the university, ensuring adherence to academic regulations. Within this office, several units work collaboratively to uphold academic excellence, including the followings:
Senate and Ceremonies
This unit acts as the secretariat for the University Senate, recording minutes from all meetings and ensuring the timely implementation of Senate decisions and approvals. Additionally, it serves as member in the Ceremonies Committee, which organizes events such as Convocation, Congregation, Matriculation and Inaugural Lectures.
Examinations & Records Office
This unit is responsible for overseeing all examinations within the university, this unit also handles critical tasks including the preparation of examination questions, distribution of examination materials, processing results for approval by the Senate and Vice-Chancellor, and managing the examination schemes and examiner lists. It also monitors lecture and examination timetables and addresses reports of academic misconduct following Vice-Chancellor approval.
This unit also safeguards student records and ensures prompt issuance of transcripts upon request. It also provides statements of results for NYSC, scholarship approvals, and other official purposes.
Admissions Office
Tasked with admitting qualified candidates in accordance with National University Commission standards, the Admissions Office addresses gaps created by graduating students and manages general inquiries regarding admission. Its functions include conducting post-UTME screening exercises, selecting eligible candidates, registering admitted students, verifying academic credentials, and confirming student status. The post-UTME screening to ensure the quality of incoming students into the university.
Certification Unit
This unit prepares graduation certificates once academic requirements are met and Senate approval is granted. It also verifies the credentials of former students upon request from both private and public organizations. The unit has successfully ensured that certificates are ready as requested by regulatory bodies, facilitating a smooth collection process for graduates.

The university through the Bursary runs a budgetary expenditure system in its finance. Expenditures are made from the established annual budget. The bursary oversees the planning and preparation of the annual budget. Expenses are not made outside the budget except with appropriate approval of the BOT.

The legal and regulatory framework for the financial reporting of the University is governed by the following: CAMA 1990, International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS), Tax Acts, Pension Reforms Act 2014, Procurement act 2007, Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria code of corporate Governance 2018 and other directives on financial matters by the government at all levels.

The store section of the Bursary oversees requisition of store items to ensure that there is no stock out, receipt of purchased goods from suppliers, warehousing of purchased goods and issuance of goods to end users i.e. requesting department. The store function is important for the university.

Each business venture must be commercially viable on a standalone basis after charging an amount for the use of the university’s resources. Sales of laboratory coat and bottled water are the few the University currently have.
