About the Logo

The logo of the Chrisland University is made up of a horseshoe, two lions, the Sun, a triangle, six point stars, an academic cap, an open book, vegetation, and a shield.

The Horseshoe is a symbol of good luck. It is unique and peculiar to all Chrisland schools, colleges and now the University. The horseshoe which is a strong and lasting protection that enables the horse to achieve gallant strides without injury symbolises the staff and students of the University taking gallant strides towards attaining its overall goals and objectives.

The Two Lions symbolise the strong support on which the University stands. The foundation is very strong and is supported by all the Chrisland schools and colleges. The University hopes to build on this support to become a foremost University in Nigeria and the world at large.

As the Sun rises and breaks into Orange, Yellow and Gold rays, its strength will permeate every aspect of the Chrisland University as Chrisland is an embodiment of radiant light. It is envisaged that the graduates of the University will be a light to their generation and the world at large.

The Triangle, Six Point Star and Academic Cap represent the aspiration of the student to aim at the stars to reach his goals and become the complete man of high achievement and intellectual radiance.

The Open Book enclosed within the triangle symbolises knowledge and scholarship, which are the primary objectives of the University at which it hopes to excel. Together, the open book and the radiating Sun further connote the envisaged academic impact of the University.

The Vegetation in the logo symbolises the fertility of the land and the intent of the University to explore the richness of the soil as well as connect man with Mother Earth.

The Shield is a symbol of strength and protection which emphasises the power of knowledge and its ability to protect its immediate society from the stint of illiteracy and poverty. The University is envisioned as a vanguard for society against illiteracy and poverty.

University Colours

The Chrisland University colours as shown on its logo are gold, green, lilac, orange, purple, white and yellow.

Gold

The Gold colour symbolises wisdom, perception, and illumination. Gold is the colour of healing and mental activity. It enhances mindfulness, intellectual reasoning, mental quickness, and clarity. The golden energy extends awareness and alters perception with love. Its influence is regenerative, dynamic and protective. It is beneficial for manifesting goals and ideas, insight and personal empowerment. It is expected that the influence of gold will manifest in the staff and students of the University.

Green

Brillant Kelly or forest green is the colour of growth and creativity. It is the colour of health, abundance and nature. It represents plant life in general and produces an artistic, creative and harmonious environment. It is envisaged that the brilliance of green will reflect on the whole environment of the Chrisland University.

Lilac

The Lilac colour is spiritually stimulating. It is tranquil and it symbolises evolvement and progression. It is cool and soothing to the mind and uplifting in a very special way. It is expected that the influence of the colour soothes and stimulates the spiritual growth of staff and students of the University.

Orange

The Orange colour, a mixture of Yellow and Red, symbolises vitality, robust, good health, generosity, and regenerative power. Orange gives creative self-expression, fluent communication, humour, organisational skills, leadership ability, and a generous spirit. This represents the core values of the students of the University.

Purple

The Purple colour symbolises royalty, mental clarity, healing, balancing love, wisdom, courage, protection, and invulnerability. Purple enhances spiritual harmony and protection. This indicates that the University will encourage the growth and development of its staff and students, which will have a direct impact on their values and integrity.

White

The White colour symbolises purity and peace. This indicates that the Chrisland University will inculcate in its students a life of harmony and peaceful coexistence. This will prevent the possibility of anti-social behaviour such as cultism, examination malpractice, etc. among staff and students.

Yellow

The Sunshine Yellow Light is the sunburst of divine illumination that is within everyone. It is the key by which everyone can unfold his potentials. This golden yellow radiance has a purifying effect as the student joyously assimilates the wisdom rays of the orange fire which illuminates and enlightens, penetrating the whole system in perfect radiance.
