Students’ Representative Council of NAPS Pays Courtesy Visit to Chrisland University

In a bid to foster interactions between Physiotherapy students in member Universities, the Students Representative Council of the Nigeria Association of Physiotherapy Students (NAPS) led by Mr. Kehinde Fatola, a Physiotherapy student from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, paid a courtesy visit to Chrisland University on Friday, 26th November, 2021.

The team which was received at the Vice-Chancellor’s office by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola, FAS and other University members of staff said the visit was part of NAPS’ efforts aimed at working in conjunction with the professional Physiotherapy Associations in pursuing mutual goals at the national level.

The team leader, Mr. Fatola disclosed that Nigeria Association Of Physiotherapy Students is a mother body uniting all Physiotherapy students across ten chapters and different regions in Nigeria.

Mr. Fatola commended Chrisland University for being the first Private University to commence “Doctor of Physiotherapy” (DPT) programme in Nigeria.

He reassured that the association will extend its membership to Chrisland University and that a Chapter would be set up in the University as soon as possible.

According to Mr. Fatola, the Chapter after being inaugurated would in conjunction with the umbrella body, act as a stepping stone towards the formation of a continental and international association of Physiotherapy students.

On her part, Prof. Babalola acknowledged the commendable objectives and goals of the Association in promoting National awareness of Physiotherapy profession, noting that these aims would encourage support, communication and exchange of information relating to the field of Physiotherapy.

The Vice-Chancellor alongside the Members of Staff and Physiotherapy students of the institution took a group picture with the visiting NAPS Representatives.
