I warmly welcome you
after a needed two weeks’ break, after the first semester examination. I thank
God and pray for you daily that the good work which God has started in you as a
student of Chrisland University will be completed successfully.
This second semester is
quite short (about twice shorter in length than the first semester). Therefore,
I admonish you to approach it with a strong determination that will help you to
maximize your potentials. Remember and revisit your Individual Professional
Development Plan (IPDP) i.e, your goals, vision and mission which should drive
your daily affairs this semester. Also remember our theme of “Exceeding the
Norm”
In order to maximize
your potentials, I encourage you to live above the minimum or average because
most people live at minimum or average performance, such as carrying out the
normal expected tasks. They live to get “by” not to get “ahead”. They maintain
status quo instead of raising the standard. However, in you resides a great
potential to maximize your academics, talent, moral and spiritual life.
Time is very important and
God makes all things beautiful in His time. For you, this is the time to be in Chrisland
University and God will make it beautiful. Therefore, do not waste this time or
the available opportunities through vices, social media or the other distractions.
The University is working hard to give you an enabling environment that will
help you maximize your potential. We promise variety of food and snacks, ATM,
healthy fun, activities, entrepreneurship, excursions and workshops by some
departments and the exciting experience of choosing your student
representatives through healthy competition. We therefore encourage you to cooperate
with us as we cooperate with you.
Ensure you avoid the
Student Disciplinary Committee (SDC). Remember we still have zero tolerance for
substance abuse, cultism, sexual immorality, indecent dressing, examination
malpractices and all forms of vices and indiscipline. As a Chrislander, “Show the
Light” and exhibit “Intellectual Radiance”.
Once again, I welcome
you all and love you all.
May God bless you
abundantly.
Your friend and
Vice-Chancellor.
