International Arbitration Lawyer, Bamgbose Unfolds Plans to Donate Books to Chrisland University College of Law Library
As part of his Corporate Social Responsibility and philanthropic gesture, International Arbitration Lawyer, Dr. Ademola Bamgbose has pledged to donate law teaching books sourced from United Kingdom to beef up learning resources in the College of Law Library of Chrisland University, Abeokuta.
Dr Bamgbose made this known while paying a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mrs. Chinedum Peace Babalola, at her office on Tuesday, 25th October, 2022.
He noted that the donation will help to address the shortage of relevant law teaching books in African Universities, adding that these books would help to foster learning and access to knowledge, which are part of building blocks for development.
Dr Bamgbose equally showed his interest in facilitating collaborative learning student exchange programme with the University in other jurisdictions.
In her remark, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola commended the donor's gesture to support the Institution’s College of Law Library with books to help inspire reading, cultivate imagination, and develop critical thinking skills.
She applauded Dr. Bamgbose’s willingness to lecture students in the College of Law, noting that Chrisland University encourages and engages lecturers who are practitioners with depth of experience in their respective fields.
According to her, “Here in Chrisland University, we promote teachers’ practitioners, practice lecturers or practice professors. We engage people who work in the industry of their respective fields to take classes. You can imagine if you teach students practical and not just theories, students will be equipped with problem-solving skills, and develop critical thinking skills. So to me, that is a very big plus”.

Bursar, Mr. Moses Esah, Dean, College of Arts, Management and Social Sciences, Prof. Temidayo Akinbobola, Dean, College of Natural and Applied Sciences, Prof. Emmanuel Maduagwu, Ag. Dean, College of Law, Dr. Folake Tafita, and Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Raphael Mordi.
