Faculty of Nursing, Chrisland University Holds Thanksgiving Service to Celebrate 2023 Nurses Week
Chrisland University’s Faculty of Nursing on Sunday 28th May, 2023 held a thanksgiving service to celebrate this year’s Nurses Week and the NMCN increment of Nursing’s indexing quota to 150.
The Nurses Week was facilitated by the Nigerian University Nursing Student Association (NUNSA) Chrisland University Chapter.
Part of the activities slated for the week included inauguration of NUNSA executives, community service, free medical tests for the university community, game/movie night among others.
In her goodwill message, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola lauded the BOT, Governing Council, Head of Department, Nursing Science, Prof. Prisca Adejumo, academic staff and non-academic staff for their passion and commitment.
She celebrated the Chancellor, High Chief Dr. Mrs. Winifred Awosika OON for the vision of birthing Chrisland University and supporting all academic programs including Nursing.
It would be recalled that Chrisland University recorded another milestone recently in its vision of becoming a world-class University renowned for outstanding training of a new generation leaders as the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) approved moving Nursing Programme from Department to Faculty Status, and increase of quota from 50 to 150 students within a very short time.
