Degree Certificate, Good Character Are The Road Map to future Development, Bishop Asaju Tells Chrisland University Graduates
The Bishop of Ilesa Anglican Diocese and former Vice-Chancellor of Ajayi Crowther University, Rt. Rev. Prof. Dapo Asaju has advised the 2022 batch of graduates of Chrisland University, Abeokuta that their degree certificates and good character would contribute to their future development
He made this charge at the thanksgiving service organized as part of activities rounding off the 4th Convocation events held at the University Auditorium.
According to him, the youths could positively change the narratives of the Nigeria nation through hard work, improved moral standing, and thinking out of the box rather than planning to leave the country under the guise of Japa Syndrome.
His words: “You are raised here to be a giant and not a loser. You dont have to be out of this country before you make it”.
Rt. Rev. Prof. Asaju further noted that education remains key to succeeding in life, as there is no shortcut to success in life.
He admonished the students to strive to be the best and learn from their mentors
“Education is for you to make difference in life. Education opens horizons of greatness. You are educated to change the world”, he stressed.
He encouraged the graduates to apply themselves to the knowledge imparted into them as the world expects them to manifest.
Leading the pack of eminent personalities at the thanksgiving service was the Founder and Chancellor of the University, High Chief Dr Mrs Winifred Awosika, accompanied by members of the Awosika Dynasty.
Others included the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Chinedum Peace Babalola, Board of Trustees member, Chief Olu Falomo, Governing Council member, Ven. Dr Dele Okunnuga, Registrar, Mr Samuel Omotoso and Ag. Bursar, among other frontline officers of the institution.
