A Day Out with Head of Department, Psychology, Prof. Shyngle Balogun
Thursday, 2nd of February 2023 was an exciting day as the Department of Psychology, Chrisland University, Abeokuta held a social gathering tagged “A day out with the HOD”.
The programme which was the first of its kind at Chrisland university was organized by the Students Executive Council at the instance of the Head of the Department, Professor Shyngle Balogun.
The programme which started at about 11:00 AM provided an opportunity for all the students, especially the fresh students to meet and interact with the Head of Department, Psychology, Prof Shyngle Balogun.
In his opening remark, Prof Balogun welcomed the students to the department and encouraged them to embrace their course of study citing the bright prospect and opportunities the course offers.
The Head of Department expatiated on how he found himself in Psychology and how he excelled in the field.
Other Members of the Staff in the Department also shared their experiences studying and practicing psychology.
The programme enabled social interaction and engagement among the students, members of staff and the HOD.
Students in the Department participated in different fun activities such as games and catch-ups before the HOD opened the dancing floor.
All students and Members of Staff in the Department put on colourful t-shirts with different inscriptions depicting what psychology is about.
The colourful event also attracted the interest of other Members of Staff of the University who came around to interact and share their excitement with the Department.
The programme was closed at about 1:45 PM with remarks from the representatives of the Students’ Executive Committee who expressed their excitement and appreciated the HOD for the wonderful experience.
