COVID-19: CHRISLAND UNIVERSITY SETS UP TASKFORCE COMMITTEE
The management of Chrisland University has set up a taskforce for the safe
reopening and resumption of physical academic activities. The 12-member
committee is to be chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Mrs.) Chinedum
Babalola.
The Vice Chancellor while inaugurating the committee pointed out that the move
was in line with the Federal Ministry of Education’s requirements for reopening
of schools. Members of the taskforce include experts from health, psychology,
communication, religion and security fields.
The taskforce will develop measures and put in place a safe and hitch free
reopening of the University. Part of the focus of the taskforce is to create,
maintain and sustain a healthy COVID-19 free environment on campus for
students, staff and visitors.
The management of the university before now had put measures in place like the
production and use of branded sanitisers, alcohol-based disinfectant sprays and
facemasks. Handwashing facilities and soap were also stationed at strategic
locations within the campus.
