Chrisland University's Unique Teaching Mode Prepared Me To Be The Best, Says Okoh, Microbiology Graduate
A Chrisland graduate, Miss Precious Okoh has revealed that the unique teaching mode of the Institution prepared her to be the best.
She made this revelation in an interview with the University’s PR Unit while sharing the news about her outstanding performance at a job interview which earned her a slot as the first corps member to be accepted at Roche Product Limited, a multinational pharmaceutical company.
In her words, “During my final year project, Chrisland University organized a compulsory entrepreneurship workshop and we were taught how to answer questions especially in interviews, what to say and what not to say and most importantly, body language. During my interview at Roche Product Limited, I was singled out because the interview was just like one of the class quizzes, or questioning after seminar presentations back then in school. Most of the questions the first interviewer was asking were basics of what was learnt as an undergraduate.”
She commended the University for being one of the few private Universities in Nigeria that takes academic discipline seriously.
“The University really played a huge role in my life , especially in the aspect of presentations. The fact that the lecturers take out time to explain each and every lecture to your satisfaction without getting tired, and students can relate with lecturers as much as they want. So many things about Chrisland University interests me, I can go on and on but I will stop here for now. The University has the best lecturers that will take out time to nurture you. The University is home from Home, a very conducive learning environment. The University have one of the best equipped laboratory in Nigeria. Beautiful hostel and above all they instill love of learning in their students. Their students are their core priority. Like the Vice Chancellor will say, Shine the light!!!”
Miss Okoh advised students to be focused and diligent in achieving their goals academically
“Student should please take whatever course they do very seriously, School is not scam in anyway, I didn't know they still ask basic knowledge about ones field of study in interviews. Whatever course introduced to you as an undergraduate has a great importance, please do not take it for granted.”
She lauded the Chancellor of Chrisland University, High Chief Dr. Mrs. Winifred Awosika, OON, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mrs. Chinedum Peace Babalola, FAS, and members of staff of the Institution for helping her achieve this exceptional feat.
“To the management of Chrisland University, I don't think I have any advice for the school than to say please keep up with the good work. I'm so proud to be an Alumni of Chrisland University.”
