Chrisland University's Criminology Department Donates HP Printer, Toiletries to Nigeria Correctional Service, Adigbe
The Department of Criminology and Security Studies, Chrisland University, Abeokuta, has donated one HP printer, and toiletries which include one pack of tissue paper, two cartons of bathing soap, two cartons of laundry soap, one carton of shaving stick, and one carton of detergent, to Nigeria Correctional Service, Adigbe Borstal Training Institution.
The donation was part of the University’s commitment to community service, and to celebrate the Criminology Departmental Week.
Speaking at the correctional service, a lecturer in the Department of Criminology and Security Studies, Dr. Lydia Chineyemba encouraged the students of the Borstal Institution to keep hope alive and to make the most of their motto, “our future is bright and we will get there”.
While admonishing the students on the need to conform with norms and standards within and outside the institution, a lecturer in the Department of Criminology, Mr. Folorunso Ogunmefun noted that it will shape their behavior towards becoming better people that will be useful to themselves, their families and society at large.
On behalf of the students of Criminology and Security Studies Department, Miss Motunrayo Okeowo charged the students to be of good behaviors.
Receiving the donations, the Public Relations Officer of the Adigbe Borstal Institution, Mr. Yusuf appreciated the University Management and Criminology Department for this kind gesture.
