Chrisland University VC Urges Computer Professionals To Deploy IT Solutions To Inter-Connect All Universities In Peculiar Locations
The Vice-Chancellor, Chrisland University, Abeokuta, Prof Chinedum Peace Babalola, FAS, was the cynosure of all eyes at the ongoing 2022 International Conference of the Nigeria Computer Society where she delivered a Goodwill Message to the teeming audience.
At the highly attended conference which had the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Prof Isa Pantami deliver a keynote speech, Prof Babalola challenged Information Technology professionals to make their impact felt more in the educational sector.
For emphasis, the Vice-Chancellor who noted that Ogun State currently has the highest concentration of universities in Nigeria running to almost 20, insisted that the time was ripe for a robust IT Solution to inter-connect the institutions together.
Prof Babalola said this IT package should be deployed specifically to address existing or emerging problems based on various peculiarities of the respective universities.
She lauded the Nigeria Computer Society for its great feats over the years and for rallying professionals within their fold in demonstrating high level of professionalism and innovation as well as their efforts in bridging the digital gap in the country.
The event which held at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta also had in attendance the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who was represented by the state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof Arigbabu.
