27 Chrisland University Students Become Full Communicant Members of the Church
Twenty-seven newly baptized Chrisland University students have been confirmed as full communicant members of the Church.
Their confirmation took place the during the Service of Confirmation and Thanksgiving held at the University Chapel on Sunday, 18th June, 2023.
The confirmation was a follow up to the public commitments made by the students to devote their lives totally to Christ Jesus during a baptismal service held at the University Chapel on Sunday, 30th April, 2023.
While addressing the congregation, the Diocesan Bishop, Egba Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev'd. Dr. Emmanuel Adekunle who presided over the Eucharistic Service admonished the newly confirmed members to provide proofs of change in their lives to others.
He challenged them to acknowledge Christ, proclaim the gospel, and be more committed to God and humanity in their service.
The newly confirmees, as presented by the University Chaplain, Rev. 'Juwon Onasanya include Annabel Adegoke, Deborah Omoyele, Gloria Obasooto, Peculiar Udoh, Precious Edun, Emmanuella Okelue, Ideraoluwa Adesanya, Dorcas Adeyera, Oyinkansola Makanjuola, Temiloluwa Adediran, Nkemdinma Irozuru, Deborah Olaleye, Darasimi Onaji, Adesewa Adekanbi, Elizabeth Ajayi, Tabitha Mesioye, Christianah Adepoju, Lydia Salako, Olufisayomi Akintolu, Ifeoluwa Oduyemi, Samuel Okeke, Philips Dokun-Akanbi, Joseph Akinpelu, Sarah Bello, Victor Aborisade, Oluwanifemi Orukotan, Covenant Ase, Mary Adegbola and Favour Ogbode.
Present at the event include the Chancellor, High Chief Dr. (Mrs.) Winifred Awosika, Governing Council Members, Venerable Dr. Okunnuga, and Mrs. Olufunke Ogunseinde, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mrs. Chinedum Peace Babalola, the Registrar, Mr. Samuel Omotoso, Acting Bursar, Mr. Moses Esah, members of staff, parents, invited guests and students.
