Chrisland University 1st public lecture

The maiden public lecture is titled Private universities: The
Credible Path to True Intellectual Freedom, Innovation and National
Development. Professor Pat Utomi, a seasoned administrator and the
convener of the People’s Conscience Forum, would deliver the lecture under
the Chairmanship of Dr Christopher Kolade. A number of prominent Nigerian
leaders, foremost educationists, civil societies, technocrats, heads of tertiary
institutions and captains of industries will grace the occasion.

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the
former President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria would equally be in attendance as the Special Guest of
Honour while the Chief Host, His Excellency, the Governor of Ogun State,
Senator Ibikunle Amosun would lead the other State Governors an “A
university must play a primary role in contribution to humand members of the
State Executive Council to the event. The prominent royal fathers are not
left out too, and His Royal Highness, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Okukenu
IV, The Alake of Egbaland, would lead them to the event.

The participants will gain in
sight into the role of tertiary education, particularly, the private
Universities in setting the appropriate and most innovative agenda for
resolving the developmental challenges of Africa.

The Lecture holds at the
University campus, KM 5 Ajebo Road, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria on
Tuesday, 21st June, 2016. All are cordially invited.

Distinguished Parents and General Public,
It has come to the attention of Chrisland University, that a suspected fraudster who goes by the name, Dr. Sylvester with the telephone numbers: 08147935431 and 07084178246, some other fraudulent individuals and impostors have been impersonating Professor (Mrs.) Chinedum Peace BABALOLA, the Vice-Chancellor of Chrisland University. Their intention is to extort money from unsuspecting individuals online, especially through the use of social media platforms like WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Facebook, text messages and telephone calls. Their fraudulent engagements are mostly on the sale of laptops, and employment contracts. Their acts are ignoble and vicious.
This is to inform the general public, particularly Nigerian tertiary institutions that, Professor (Mrs.) Chinedum Peace Babalola, the Vice-Chancellor of Chrisland University has nothing to do with any form of contracts or other claims being made online and offline by the criminals.
Professor (Mrs.) Chinedum Peace Babalola is a distinguished Professor of Pharmacokinetics/Pharmaceutical Chemistry, an award-winning professor, a laureate of the African Union, a lover of peace, and a devout Christian. She is the Vice-Chancellor of Chrisland University, and her major focus is and has remained steering the wheel of excellence in the school to ensure world-class value system, intellectual freedom, ethical standards, research, community service, and outstanding training of a new generation of leaders. Hence, she cannot be involved in fraudulent claims as are being made by the fraudsters.

By this disclaimer, Chrisland University is making it explicitly clear that Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola, its Vice-Chancellor, dissociates herself from all forms of fraudulent claims made with her name and office as the Vice-Chancellor of Chrisland University by any group of impostors online or offline.
The general public is hereby notified of this disclaimer and at the same time warned to be careful, as anyone who transacts with any of the impostors does so at his/her own risks.
