The first female pharmacist VC in Nigeria and current Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, Professor (Mrs.) Chinedum Peace Babalola has charged the graduating students of Chrisland Group of Schools to lead a licensed exemplary life as they launch into their next phase of life.
Speaking at the Valedictory ceremony of the institution on the 14th of July which was held at the School Auditorium, the Professor averred that the students have been authorized and licensed to rule.
The First Female Pharmacist Vice Chancellor in Nigeria who spoke on the theme “Licensed to Lead” emphasized that by passing through Chrisland Schools, the students have received the permission, enablement and empowerment to do great.
The Professor who was full of praises for the students, succinctly remarked that from Nursery to College level, the children are so creative and innovative, noting that she is always stunned by what she sees the students do since joining the institution last year.
The teachers were not left out of the Professor’s praise book as she voiced that the teachers and staff are incomparable, adding that staff retention span for over 30 years speaks volume in the area of staff development, welfare and good relationship.
While congratulating the students on the great feat they have attained, she however enjoined them to ensure they put all they have been taught in the institution into practice.
The Don who noted that most of the problems militating against Nigeria emanate from bad leadership urged the students to be exemplary leaders so as to bring about the desired change Nigeria is craving for.
She cited Daniel in the Bible as a good example of a youth who led a licensed exemplary life during his days and urged the students to thread on that path so as to make the society a better place.
The remarkable occasion had several dignitaries in attendance to include the founder of the institution, Dr. (Mrs.) Wilfred Awosika, wife of the Governor of Ondo State, Her Excellency Mrs. Betty Akeredolu, the Chairman of the event, Prof Jerry Gana, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah. Others were Senator Daisy Danjuma and popular Nigerian Actress, Omotola Jekinde.
