All Hail Chrisland University's BOT Member, Prof Wale Omole @80

It was joy galore and an atmosphere of merriment in Lagos on Saturday August 13, 2022, when a one-time Vice-Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Prof. Wale Omole drew a large assemblage of friends and well-wishers in celebration of his 80th Birthday Anniversary .

The octogenarian is also a member of Board of Trustees, Chrisland University, Abeokuta.

The University was represented at the event by the Bursar, Mr Moses Esah, who presented a gift to the celebrant.

The event held at the GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, amid a church service in thanksgiving unto God and fanfare for the preservation of his life as well as for seeing him through the travails of life.

A product of the then University of Ife, Prof Omole was the first ex-student of the University to become Vice-Chancellor of the same Institution.

Omole recorded a great milestone when he became a professor at the age of 38.He had a much-cherished academic career till June 1999 when he retired.

Distinguished Parents and General Public,
It has come to the attention of Chrisland University, that a suspected fraudster who goes by the name, Dr. Sylvester with the telephone numbers: 08147935431 and 07084178246, some other fraudulent individuals and impostors have been impersonating Professor (Mrs.) Chinedum Peace BABALOLA, the Vice-Chancellor of Chrisland University. Their intention is to extort money from unsuspecting individuals online, especially through the use of social media platforms like WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Facebook, text messages and telephone calls. Their fraudulent engagements are mostly on the sale of laptops, and employment contracts. Their acts are ignoble and vicious.
This is to inform the general public, particularly Nigerian tertiary institutions that, Professor (Mrs.) Chinedum Peace Babalola, the Vice-Chancellor of Chrisland University has nothing to do with any form of contracts or other claims being made online and offline by the criminals.
Professor (Mrs.) Chinedum Peace Babalola is a distinguished Professor of Pharmacokinetics/Pharmaceutical Chemistry, an award-winning professor, a laureate of the African Union, a lover of peace, and a devout Christian. She is the Vice-Chancellor of Chrisland University, and her major focus is and has remained steering the wheel of excellence in the school to ensure world-class value system, intellectual freedom, ethical standards, research, community service, and outstanding training of a new generation of leaders. Hence, she cannot be involved in fraudulent claims as are being made by the fraudsters.

By this disclaimer, Chrisland University is making it explicitly clear that Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola, its Vice-Chancellor, dissociates herself from all forms of fraudulent claims made with her name and office as the Vice-Chancellor of Chrisland University by any group of impostors online or offline.
The general public is hereby notified of this disclaimer and at the same time warned to be careful, as anyone who transacts with any of the impostors does so at his/her own risks.
