6. REQUIREMENTS 

Professor

Interested applicants must possess good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division, Master’s degree and a Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D, with at least Twelve (12) years of continuous Teaching and Research at the University level.

 

Applicants must be able to show evidence of scholarship and a track record of outstanding research with a minimum of Thirty (30) Scholarly peer-reviewed publications in chosen fields of specialty and expertise.

 

Also, outstanding research and scholarly publications and or patent invention and design, in recognized, and reputable peer-reviewed rated internationally journals/outlets 90% of such publications should have appeared in print, and there must be an identifiable contribution to knowledge in the field of specialization.

 

Preference will be given to qualified candidates whose qualifications must be registered with the relevant Professional Body(ies).

 

To be appointable, the ideal candidate will be expected to demonstrate evidence of Academic Leadership, research ability to supervise Post Graduate students in the field, capacity to develop the field/discipline in the department, and skills for collaborative and multidisciplinary research.


Reader

Interested applicants must possess good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second- Class Lower Division, a Master’s degree, and a Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D., with at least Nine (9) years of continuous Teaching and Research at the University level.

 

Applicants must be able to show evidence of scholarship and a track record of outstanding research with a minimum of Twenty-five (25) Scholarly Publications in peer- reviewed internationally rated journals/outlets.

 

Also, outstanding research and scholarly publications and or patent invention and design, in recognized, and reputable international journals, 80% of such publications should have appeared in print, and there must be an identifiable contribution to knowledge in the field of specialization.

 

Preference will be given to qualified candidates whose qualifications must be registered with a Professional Body.

 

To be appointable, the ideal candidate will be expected to demonstrate evidence of Academic leadership, ability to supervise Post Graduate students in the field, capacity to develop the field/discipline in the department, and skills for collaborative and multidisciplinary research.

 

Senior Lecturer

Interested applicants must possess good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second- Class Lower Division, a Master’s degree, and a Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D., with at least Six (6) years of continuous Teaching and Research at the University level.

 

Candidates must show evidence of a minimum of Fifteen (15) Scholarly Publications in peer-reviewed internationally rated journals/outlets and an identifiable contribution to knowledge in field of specialization. The applicant must be able to demonstrate potential for academic leadership in teaching and research.

 

To be appointable, the ideal candidate will be expected to demonstrate evidence of Academic leadership, ability to supervise Post Graduate students in the field, capacity to develop the field/discipline in the department, and skills for collaborative and multidisciplinary research.

 

Lecturer I

Interested applicants must possess good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second- Class Lower Division, a Master’s degree, and a Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D., with at least Five (5) years of continuous Teaching and Research at the University level.


To be appointable, candidates must show evidence of a minimum of Ten (10) scholarly publications in peer-reviewed internationally rated reputable journals/outlets and must be able to demonstrate potential for academic leadership.

Lecturer II

Interested applicants must possess good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second- Class Lower Division, a Master’s degree, and a Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D., with at least Three (3) years of continuous Teaching and Research at the University level.

 

To be appointable, candidates must show evidence of a minimum of five (5) scholarly publications in peer-reviewed internationally rated reputable journals/outlets and must be able to demonstrate potential for academic leadership.

 

Assistant Lecturer II

Interested Applicants must possess minimum of Second Class in Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (B.A/B.Sc.) and Master of Arts/Master of Science, (M.A/M.Sc.) from a recognized University. Teaching and Research will be an advantage.

 

To be appointable, candidates must show evidence of One (1) scholarly publication and must be able to demonstrate potential for academic leadership. He/she must have evidence of registration for Ph.D or almost concluding a Ph.D. programme in a relevant field.

7. UNIVERSITY LIBRARY Principal Librarian

Interested applicants must possess good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second- Class Lower Division and a Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies with at least Six (6) years of continuous Teaching and Research at the University level.

 

Candidates must show evidence of a minimum of Fifteen (15) Scholarly Publications in peer-reviewed internationally rated journals/outlets and an identifiable contribution to knowledge in the field of Library Studies. The applicant must be computer literate. Registration with the Librarians Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN) is required.

 

Law Librarian II

 

Interested applicants must possess good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second- Class Lower Division in Law and a Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies.

 

To be appointed, the candidate must have been called to the Nigerian Bar.


Senior Library Assistant

Interested applicants must possess an SSSC/WASC/GCE obtained at not more than 2 sittings with 5 Credit passes including English and Mathematics plus 4 years of relevant experience.

8. Information Communication Technology (ICT)

System Analyst II/System Programmer II/Technologists

Interested applicants must possess good honors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from a recognized University.

Candidates must have strong computer science fundamentals and programming skills.

 

Hardware/Software/Cyber Security Engineering Technologists

Interested applicants must possess good honors degree/ HND in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from a recognized University/Polytechnic with 3 years of cognate experience.

 

 

9. WORKS & SERVICES Principal Engineer (Civil)

Interested applicants must possess Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, registration with COREN, plus NYSC or exemption letter.

To be appointable, candidates must have over nine (9) years of post-qualification experience in a reputable organization.

 

Engineer II (Electrical)

 

Interested applicants must possess Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, registration with COREN, plus NYSC or exemption letter.

Engineer II (Mechanical)

 

Interested applicants must possess Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, registration with COREN, plus NYSC or exemption letter.

 

Vehicle Driver I

Interested applicants must possess a minimum of WAEC/GCE/Trade Test Certificate plus a Class ‘E’ Driving License and four (4) years of driving experience.


Assistant Patrol Supervisor (Security)

Interested applicants must possess a minimum of WAEC/GCE certificate plus four (4) years’ experience as a Police Constable or its equivalent.

10. UNIVERSITY HEALTH CENTRE 

Director, Medical Services

Interested applicants must possess degree in MBBS, and masters in Public Health with a minimum of fifteen (15) years post-qualification cognate experience. Experience in a university system is an advantage.

 

The candidate must be between the age of 55 - 65 years old. Retired staff will equally be considered.

 

Chief Nursing Officer

Interested applicants must be registered Nurse with Public Health qualifications and with fifteen (15) years of post-qualification cognate experience.

 

The candidate must be between the age of 55 - 65 years old. Retired staff will equally be considered.

 

Nursing Officer I

Interested applicants must possess Bachelor’s degree in Nursing plus NYSC or an Exception letter.

 

To be appointable, candidates must have membership of the Nurses and Midwifery council of Nigeria plus at least five (5) years post-qualification cognate experience.

 

Nursing Officer II

Interested applicants must possess Bachelor’s degree in Nursing plus NYSC or an Exception letter.

 

To be appointable, candidates must have membership of the Nurses and Midwifery Council of Nigeria plus at least three (3) years post-qualification cognate experience.

 

Nursing Officer II

Interested applicants must possess Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery. Such a candidate must be a registered nurse/midwife with at least one (1) year post-qualification cognate experience plus NYSC or an Exception letter.


11. OTHER CATEGORIES 

Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist

Interested applicants must possess the following:

i. BMLS in Medical Laboratory Science with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower from a recognized Institution.

ii. Associate Membership of the Association of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (AMLSCN)

iii. Three (3) years post-qualification cognate experience

 

Laboratory Technologist I

Interested applicants must possess a good HND in Laboratory Technology and must be an Associate of the Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (AIST) plus three (3) years of cognate experience.

 

Medical Laboratory Technician

Interested applicants must possess a Certificate of Registration with the Association of Medical Laboratory Technician Assistants of Nigeria

 

Clinical Instructor (Physiotherapy)

Interested applicants must possess good Bachelors’ degree in Physiotherapy plus three years of Physiotherapy registration experience.

Assistant Registrar

Interested applicants must possess a good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second- Class Lower Division, from a recognized University plus National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate, with not less than (eight) 8 years of relevant administrative experience in in the University.

A Master’s degree/Membership of a Professional organization is an added advantage.

Admin. Officer 1

Interested applicants must possess good Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Guidance, and Counselling with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Division, from a recognized University plus National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate, with at least four (4) years post qualification.

 

A Master’s degree/Membership of a Professional organization is an added advantage.

 

12. Salaries and Allowances

 

Chrisland University Operates a Salary Structure and Condition of Service comparable to what obtains in the Nigerian University System.
