Excitement As Chrisland University Management Receives Keys to Newly Constructed College of Law Building

Chrisland University has recorded another milestone in its vision of becoming a world-class University renowed for outstanding training of a new generation leaders as the University Management received the keys to the newly constructed College of Law building in the Institution.

The handing over of the complex was performed by Architect Arc. Sunday Oyewole, who represented the Contractor, Arc. Mobolaji Adeniji and Associates.

The foundation of the building was laid in 2015 when the Chancellor, High Chief Dr. Mrs. Winifred Awosika, OON, and the members, Board of Trustees flagged off the project.

The College is to train new generation of leaders the knowledge and skills in law to facilitate and to analyse both sides of societal issues and to devise the best solution based on strong reasoning and critical thinking.

Consisting of two floors suspended on a basement floor, the College of Law complex also houses some classrooms, offices, seminar rooms, staff common room, 150-capacity auditorium, library, e-library, Judges’ Chambers, and a 150-capacity Moot Court.

The building is part of the mission of the University to create a learning environment that nurtures a sound moral and intellectual culture that attracts an excellent blend of faculty across the world, and deploys resources to educate the total person.

Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mrs. Chinedum Peace Babalola commended the efforts of the Chancellor, High Chief Dr Mrs Winifred Awosika and her vision of imparting the educational sector positively.

She equally commended the Board of Trustees members for bringing the college of law building into reality.

While lauding the Ag. Dean, College of Law, Dr. Folake Tafita and the Works Department for their pioneering efforts at overseeing qualitative deliverables and task completion of the building by the contractors, she commended the Contractors for handling over to Chrisland University one of the most magnificent edifice any University can ever parade in Nigeria.
